DOTE is for everyone whose pet has been trying to tell them something.

We help Indian pet parents recognise allergy and sensitivity signals — and figure out what's actually triggering them. Food, environment, and the messy overlap of both.

The insight

Most pet parents in India don't realise their pet's itching, paw licking, recurring ear infections, and loose stools are food-related — or environmental. Chicken is in roughly 80% of Indian pet food and is the #1 food allergen in dogs. Phenyl-based floor cleaners are in most homes. The monsoon brings four months of yeast and mould. Fabric softener coats the duvet your pet sleeps on.

None of that is in any single article on the Indian internet. So we're writing it.

What we cover

Food triggers. Home triggers. Seasonal triggers. The signs vets typically miss. The questions to ask before you accept another round of antihistamines.

We work in plain language. We don't use "furbaby." We don't manufacture excitement with exclamation marks. We tell you what we'd want a friend to tell us.

The founder

DOTE is built by Pooja Sengupta. The reason it exists is her Shih Tzu, Niko — a healthy dog in Australia who moved to India at four and got steadily, mysteriously sick. The vet rounds didn't find an answer. The food and the home eventually did. Read Niko's story →

Pooja and Niko.

Why now

Indian pet ownership has roughly tripled in the last ten years. Honest, allergy-focused information has not kept up. Most of what's online about pet allergies is either selling something or written for vets. This site is for the pet parent in the middle.

What we don't do

We don't run ads. We don't sell your data. We don't replace your vet. Every article and every quiz result closes with the same line — this is a guide, not a diagnosis. If symptoms persist or worsen, please see your vet.
